Life
Though they always attended church, Pastor Derrick's parents experienced a life-changing relationship with God when he was in elementary school, and soon, he gave his own heart fully to Christ. He and his wife, Russell Ann, gave all energies to serving in church and mission work during college and in their 20s, fueled by their passion for God. At the age of 29, Derrick answered the call to full-time ministry as a youth pastor. He served as an associate pastor in Dallas before joining the pastoral team at Milestone Church in 2004. His greatest joy is found in time with his wife and children.
Love
Derrick believes and lives the phrase "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." He is a team builder extraordinaire; building ministries that support the family (children, youth and parents) is at the top of his skill set. When not in the office or ministering to people you might find him on a quiet jogging trail listening to his favorite tunes on his ipod, hunting with his dad, golfing with friends or wrestling with his kids in the back yard.
